Green Fertility: Compelling Book by expert Dr. Niels H. Lauersen

I had several patients recently who couldn’t get pregnant and thought they were in menopause. Through integrated medicine (health and lifestyle changes), they got pregnant. It shows just how much we can control our bodies.

A new term for hope, “Green Fertility,” becomes a compelling book by international best-selling fertility expert and Cenegenics physician Dr. Niels H. Lauersen, announced the age-management leader Cenegenics® Medical Institute. Lauersen coined the phrase to demonstrate how fertility is impacted by a natural, healthy aging lifestyle—from avoiding environmental toxins to eating right, exercising and more. Per Lauersen, many infertility issues can be solved by following principles similar to the healthy aging guidelines pioneered by Cenegenics.

Lauersen’s “Green Fertility”—his 12th book—targets couples whose infertility issues are “unexplained” by traditional medicine. That is, issues not caused by a known physiological problem, such as damaged ovaries or fallopian tubes. According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, more than half of couples who seek a fertility specialist fall into this category.

“I had several patients recently who couldn’t get pregnant and thought they were in menopause. Through integrated medicine . . . health and lifestyle changes—vitamins, minerals, diet—they got pregnant. It shows just how much we can control our bodies through healthy lifestyle, using the same diet and nutrition principles we use in our Cenegenics’ age-management programs,” Lauersen said.

According to Lauersen, the book comes at a crucial time. The rate of infertility is increasing, and not just because women are waiting until they are older to conceive. The group with the fastest increase in fertility problems is age 20-28—suggesting diet and lifestyle can have a tremendous impact on fertility. In fact, infertility may be the consequences of an unhealthy lifestyle, starting in childhood and having a cumulative effect on the body.

“Nothing happens after a year. It is many years of exposure. So this is also about protecting our next generation of future mothers. The good news is the effects of many years of unhealthy diet, lack of exercise and exposure to toxins can be reversed with the principles in my book. With this program, you can bring your body back ten years,” Lauersen said.

“Green Fertility” and Lauersen’s companion nutrition guide “Getting Pregnant: The New Fertility Diet Guide” are available through major book retailers, such as Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble. Also the Green Fertility site offers a trailer about the book and more information about Lauersen’s approach.
