Veera Version 3.7 Incorporates In-Database Analytics into their award winning business intelligence software

“For me it’s not just the speed of the reporting and analysis, but also the ease with which I can create reports and make changes on the fly,” says Kerri Coons, Business Systems Analyst NH Department of Health and Human Services.

Rapid Insight Inc., the leader in user friendly business intelligence software, announces the release of another significant upgrade to its award-winning business intelligence product, Veera. The upgrade further enhances the analytic engine of Veera by adding the ability for in-database processing. When run against any standard database engines, Veera now leverages the processing capabilities of the database.

As a self-service business intelligence tool, Veera enables business analysts and nontechnical users to develop their own reports, dashboards, analytic datasets, and ad hoc analyses. Veera's drag-and-drop analytic process builder allows users to turn data into information by merging, aggregating, cleansing, and transforming data from formats as disparate as Excel, Access, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and text.

“We estimate that half of our customers run Veera directly against a database, so utilizing the power of database engines was an obvious next step for us,” says Mike Laracy, President and CEO of Rapid Insight. “The reduction in unnecessary data movement and the increase in analytic efficiency will ultimately lead to more accurate and efficient decision making.”

As a replacement to legacy analytic and reporting technologies, Veera has grown in popularity among business analysts, researchers, and data users. Utilized by companies and organizations such as Amgen, TPG Capital, and the NH Department of Health and Human Services, Veera is also being utilized by hundreds of institutions like Brown University, Bennington College, Fairfield University and Plymouth State College.

“For me it’s not just the speed of the reporting and analysis, but also the ease with which I can create reports and make changes on the fly,” says Kerri Coons, Business Systems Analyst NH Department of Health and Human Services. “Given that a significant amount of the data that I utilize for our reports is coming directly from an Oracle database, the in-database analytics is going to make my reporting even more efficient.”

Rapid Insight® Veera has rallied an elegant and effective challenge to legacy solutions from companies like IBM and SAS. Agility and efficiency are the new benchmark and Rapid Insight is committed to leading the way.
