The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is holding the 2011 conference and exhibition in Boston this year, June 12 – 15, 2011. This annual event is the main gathering place for leaders in the fire protection industry to meet and participate in focused sessions, vote on code changes, and share ideas and resources for advancing their areas of expertise.
The Expo kicks off on Sunday with a networking reception from 6:00 – 7:30 pm in the Expo Hall. The exhibition continues on Monday from 11am to 4pm and Tuesday from 10am to 2pm. The Association Technical Meeting will begin on Tuesday at 2pm, continuing on Wednesday at 8am. Certified amending motions may be presented on NFPA 51A, 79 and 2001 during these meetings. “We will be active in a number of code reviews, including NFPA 99, Standard for Health Care Facilities, NFPA 3, Recommended Practice on Commissioning and Integrated Testing of Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems and NFPA 15, Standard for Water Spray Fixed Systems for Fire Protection. As an advocate for our clients, we are constantly looking to the future and representing their interests on the code committees so they don’t face any surprises and have a voice during the evaluation and implementation phases.” explains Tom Parrish, Integration Leader for Telgian.
Attendees that visit booth #917 will have the opportunity to play the Fire Protection Toss and win a $250 American Express gift card. The Fire Protection Toss is an interactive game that will help players identify essential elements of a good fire protection program - and may even stir fond childhood memories of summertime games and friendly competition. The daily high score winner and runner up will take home prizes. Winners every day, so be sure to come by booth #917 for your chance to play!
