Worldwide ERC®, the association for workforce mobility, has inducted SIRVA executive David Barlow, SCRP, SGMS, into its distinguished Hall of Leaders.

I’m grateful to both ERC and SIRVA for the opportunity to serve the relocation industry, and to the many companies that have invited me to work with them on improving their mobility policies over the years.

Worldwide ERC®, the association for workforce mobility, has inducted SIRVA executive David Barlow, SCRP, SGMS, into its distinguished Hall of Leaders. The induction was held May 19 at the Worldwide ERC® National Relocation Conference in Las Vegas. Barlow is a SIRVA senior vice president and senior consultant.

The Worldwide ERC® Service Recognition Awards Program was established so members could strive to reach three levels of awards based on points earned through service to the relocation industry. The Meritorious Service Award is granted after accumulation of 10 service points, and the Distinguished Service Award is given after an additional accumulation of 25 service points. Induction into the Hall of Leaders is attained by earning four Distinguished Service Awards. Only 45 individuals have been previously honored with inclusion in the Hall of Leaders from the 10,000-member organization, which began in 1964.

“SIRVA joins ERC in recognizing and thanking David for the significant contributions he has made to our industry,” said Debbie Balli, president, global relocation services, SIRVA, Inc. “David’s extensive mobility expertise and leadership are great assets to SIRVA, and his policy guidance and direction have led to sustained, strategic business growth for our valued clients.”

In addition to serving on ERC®’s board of directors from 1999 through 2001, Barlow has worked on numerous committees and task forces, has spoken at over three dozen national and international conferences, and is a frequent contributor to the association’s Mobility magazine. Barlow received his Meritorious Service Award in 1998 and his three Distinguished Service Awards in 2001, 2005 and 2009.

“I’m grateful to both ERC and SIRVA for the opportunity to serve the relocation industry, and to the many companies that have invited me to work with them on improving their mobility policies over the years,” said Barlow. “It is an honor to assist companies in implementing changes that benefit both their employees and bottom line, and to witness the company growth and employee satisfaction as a result. It is truly gratifying to be able to do the work that I love with outstanding people.”
