Kitchen designers Betta Living have had one of their most popular new kitchen ranges showcased on the hit TV daytime show ’60 Minute Makeover’.

Their Pasadena kitchen was one of the focal points of the show after the company decided to donate one of their kitchens towards a worthwhile renovation project led by well-renowned Interior Designer and TV presenter Linda Barker.

The Essex home of a young mother called Emma who has two disabled children was put forward for the show by her close friends and relatives as they felt she richly deserved some form of surprise treat for all the hard work she puts into looking after them. In addition, her property, and in particular, the kitchen area also didn’t serve the family’s needs as it should.

The existing design offered very little workspace due to a poor layout and failed to make the most of available space. Handles used on cupboards were beginning to fall off and the current colour scheme offered a very dated finish.

Betta Living visited Emma's home prior to the show to decide which of their fitted kitchens would best suit the requirements of the family. They decided upon the Pasadena design as it offered better usability and provided a warm and contemporary rich chocolate and glossy white finish.

Furthermore, it contains a breakfast bar, stools and beautiful wood furniture so that the family can get together first thing in the morning and last thing at night. It was also thought that the extra cupboard space would help the family keep the room free of clutter.

Emma declared herself “overwhelmed” with the finished product and Linda Barker described it as “amazing”.
