Spring into Summer with a Special PAUL GOERG Champagne Tasting at Greensquare

A special tasting and matching with three of top champagnes from PAUL GOERG including their Brut Rose which is the aperitif of choice for Chef Alain Ducasse.

GREENSQUARE announces a unique tasting of PAUL GOERG, one of Champagne’s superb houses on June 14th. The tasting will include special small plates especially created to match each champagne. Leon Bell Greenstreet Partner and General Manager explained, “Many people do not get to enjoy champagne as they do understand its versatility or how to best enjoy this magical, effervescent wine”.

Three renowned champagnes from the house of Paul Goerg will be tasted and explanations given as to how to best understand, taste, and appreciate Champagne. Three specific wines will be tasted: Blanc de Blancs, Brut Rosé and Special Vintage. These wines are served at major restaurants around the world, including Benoit and The Red Rooster in New York City. Brut Rose is the aperitif of choice for Chef Alain Ducasse

Each wine's unique characteristics will be detailed by Mario Rinaldi from Paul Goerg and Jack Maraffi, a member of the New York Wine Guild, an organization of professional wine writers. They will provide guidance through each of the wine's components. In addition, each champagne will be tasted in conjunction with accompanying small dishes exclusively created for this event by Chef John Marsh a veteran of New York’s most celebrated kitchens: The Four Seasons, The River Café, La Cote Basque, Tavern on the Green, and now Greensquare Tavern which is Flatiron's hottest farm to table restaurant.
