Pulse synchronizes development teams on the right technology and version numbers by either using the improved Pulse Workspace Center or through the free OneInstall Agent.

Genuitec, LLC, a founding member of the Eclipse Foundation, is pleased to announce the latest release of its Pulse application lifecycle management (ALM) technology, Pulse 4.0. With the latest enhancements to Pulse, software developers now have streamlined access to Genuitec's OneInstall technology for creating rich installers that deliver any type of software to Mac, Windows and Linux operating systems.

Beyond creating fully-branded installers that never expire, Pulse offers the free OneInstall Agent that allows programmers to share software development tooling profiles and control them through existing version and code management repositories, such as CVS. By easily creating a .oneinstall file, Pulse users can take full control of their team’s Eclipse experiences.

“As more software firms switch to agile development to create faster applications with better user experiences, Pulse 4.0 provides a level of collaboration that instantaneously delivers software profiles to technologists creating applications,” said Tim Webb, product manager and chief architect of Pulse for Genuitec. “Pulse synchronizes development teams on the right technology and version numbers by either using the improved Pulse Workspace Center or through the free OneInstall Agent.”

Pulse currently has over 1.5 million users worldwide and is the standard platform for Eclipse developers to download and share their workspace profiles – whether developing cloud, desktop or mobile applications. The newest version adds further enhancements to the Software and Workspace Center whereby if a new profile is added, Pulse sniffs into the user's machine to learn what additional software is needed to create the required full profile, then after a user confirms the necessary downloads Pulse seamlessly installs the software required.
