The 11.30 release provides a re-engineered platform for the continued evolution of the cPanel & WHM product
Houston, TX (PRWEB) June 02, 2011
cPanel has officially released cPanel & WHM 11.30 for its EDGE, CURRENT, and RELEASE tiers. Version 11.30 represents a major milestone for cPanel product development.
“The 11.30 release provides a re-engineered platform for the continued evolution of the cPanel & WHM product,” said Vice President of Product Development Ben Thomas.
Progressive changes in the development of 11.30 have changed the way cPanel & WHM is developed, released and updated.
“Few software companies are capable of completely re-creating their installation and updates process in place, without requiring their customers to manually intervene,” Thomas added.
Thomas also said the success of the 11.30 release proves cPanel’s commitment to providing high-quality, reliable software to customers at the lowest possible cost of ownership.
Version 11.30 has several new features that provide users with more efficient server administration. Some notable changes include: long-term support, improved integration, native CloudLinux support, and improvements to the Update Process.
The new long-term support versioning scheme allows users to install or downgrade to major versions of cPanel & WHM, ultimately providing more control over the deployment process.
cPanel developers have improved several backend changes that make integration with cPanel even easier. New features include a DNS plugin system for integrating non-cPanel DNS and a new Perl API Interface.
The administration of CloudLinux through cPanel has been made more efficient via natively installed CloudLinux, cPanel & WHM RPMs.
Scripts involved in the update process have been rewritten to be more organized and concise, greatly reducing their overall size and update time.
cPanel & WHM 11.30 also includes new end user options. Email auto responders now allow users to choose the start and stop times. Users can also now re-arrange email filters through the cPanel interface.
