Ten years later, talent measurement thought leader Dr. Charles Handler set to release new version of breakthrough Online Buyer’s Guide

What started out 10 years ago on a shoe-string budget has steadily grown into a strong recognizable brand in the talent management community.

Rocket-Hire, LLC, a pre-employment online assessment and talent measurement consulting firm today announced the celebration of 10 years in business. The company provides market research, strategic consulting and brand alignment services to vendors; selection system audits, vendor selection advice, and third-party validation to assessment users.

Since 2001, Rocket-Hire has matured through the start-up phase and proven to be a reliable, successful company - offering objective vendor selection methodology instead of selling tests.

Rocket-Hire was founded June 1, 2001 by I/O Psychologist Dr. Charles Handler while he was living in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. He relocated the company to New Orleans in 2002, and survived the travails of Katrina – staying to rebuild his flooded riverside facilities.

The company initially offered unbiased reviews and data of the then-fledgling online assessment vendors in a first-of-its-kind printed, bound version of the first Online Buyer’s Guide to Screening and Assessment Systems, co-authored by Dr. Steven Hunt. As Internet bandwidth and access increased, so too did the use of online assessments – something Handler predicted more than a decade ago. The Company launched a web-hosted version of the Online Buyer’s Guide in 2005.

Almost a decade after the release of their first Guide, the latest version will be available to subscribers in August. This version will be the easiest, most cost effective way to access a decade of expertise – and includes a trove of expert, objective information about vendors of quality pre-employment recruiting, screening, and assessment tools.

Dr. Handler and associate Mark C. Healy produce the quarterly Rocket-Hire e-Newsletter; contribute regularly to trade publications; author white papers and consult with organizations of all sizes across industries, including members of the Fortune 500. Dr. Handler is a regular columnist for the Electronic Recruiting Exchange since 2001.

"I find the whole convergence of assessment science and technology to be fascinating. I’ve been watching the development of the online assessment world since before I founded Rocket-Hire, and every year I make predictions of where it is headed. Today I see the world of online assessment moving toward some exciting new horizons. Of primary interest to me is the continued growth of simulations.
