Sukyo Mahikari Centers for Spiritual Development Sponsors 4Rs Summer Ecofest to Encourage Community to Go Green.

Sukyo Mahikari Centers for Spiritual Development is sponsoring a 4Rs Summer Ecofest Event from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday June 25, 2011 at their local center located at 23151 Camino Altazano, Rancho Santa Margarita CA 92688. The Honorable L Anthony (“Tony”) Beall, Mayor of the City of Rancho Santa Margarita, will be one of several speakers.

The 4Rs Summer Ecofest will introduce local environmental programs and other eco-friendly practices to the community and enable community members to practice the “4Rs” (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair) in ways that are easy, fun and sustainable.

Several Orange County area organizations have been invited to participate. It will provide the local community with the opportunity to experience ecological activities through exhibitor booths, poster displays, hands-on activities, demonstrations and speaker presentations. Exhibitors include Living Green Recycling, SoCal Solar Energy, Reuse Jeans, Lil’ Green Wagon, and several others. Christopher T. Staggs, LEED-certified architect and owner of Ideas Collaborative, will showcase a sustainable landscape that is scheduled to be complete at the site of the ecofest. There will also be entertainment provided by Getty Rox and Half Blonde.
