Austin web designer Melissa Ek has landed her first international client—Saudi Arabian airline nasAir ('nas' stands for National Air Service).

“As a solopreneur, landing an airline client was a really big deal,” Ek says. In business since 1999, ekMedia works primarily with local businesses, with clients including HomeAway, Convio, DogBoy’s Dog Ranch, and Tomlinson’s.

In addition to the website redesign project, Ek was also asked to create and code 28 destination landing pages and create a new email design for their Tuesday nasday special fares. Ek also developed a custom landing page for nasair on Facebook, created their Twitter and YouTube backgrounds, and designed several printed marketing pieces.

nasAir launched in 2007 and has what it says is the “youngest fleet of airplanes in Saudi Arabia.”

About Melissa Ek and ekMEDIA

Melissa Ek (pronounced Eeeek!), designer and owner of ekMEDIA, started out drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil and parlayed that design talent into a successful web design company in Austin, Texas. She spends the majority of her day designing websites and logos and dabbling in social media strategy. Whenever she gets a free minute, you'll find her illustrating a card, doodling in her handy sketch pad, or coming up with a new idea for a children's book.
