Those interested in joining George Fox University’s fall cohort have until July 1 to apply

The final application date for those interested in enrolling in a Master of Business Administration program that takes under a year to complete have until Friday, July 1, to apply for a Full-Time MBA program in Oregon offered at George Fox University.

The full-time format is geared toward recent college graduates with fewer than five years of work experience who wish to improve their marketability and understanding of the business world. Classes for the 42-semester, 11-month program begin in mid-August and end in June of 2012. Financial aid is available.

Applications may be submitted online at mba.georgefox.edu.

The program employs an ethics-based, holistic curriculum with a global perspective, according to program director Jeff VandenHoek. Classes are held on the university’s Newberg, Ore., campus and meet Monday through Thursday. A Friday seminar course often involves travel, as students visit corporations in the greater Portland area.

The full-time MBA emphasizes real-world business application, as the Friday excursions incorporate professional industry presentations, organizational tours and hands-on projects that focus on learning application. A variety of projects are implemented throughout the program to immediately impact local business processes.

The George Fox School of Business also offers a Part-Time MBA program at its Portland and Boise centers. The 26-month, 42-credit-hour program meets once a week from 6 to 10 p.m., plus occasional Saturdays. New cohorts begin in September and January.

The three-year course features online classes, web-enhanced hybrid courses, and three residency visits to its Newberg, Ore., campus.

At the undergraduate level, the university offers degrees in accounting, marketing, management, economics, global business, entrepreneurship and finance.

George Fox University is ranked by Forbes as the top Christian college in the Pacific Northwest and among the top three Christian colleges in the country. George Fox is the only Christian university in the Pacific Northwest classified by U.S. News & World Report as a first tier national university. More than 3,400 students attend classes on the university’s campus in Newberg, Ore., and at teaching centers in Portland, Salem, and Redmond, Ore., and Boise, Idaho. George Fox offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 40 majors, degree-completion programs for working adults, five seminary degrees, and 11 master’s and doctoral degrees.
