Faster, Simpler and More Powerful ESI Data Management

Our goal since launching Exego has been to continue to improve its features and capabilities to outpace the rapidly evolving e-discovery landscape.

Planet Data, a global innovator in the creation and development of defensible legal technologies, services and solutions, today announced the release of Exego v. 2.0, an update to the proprietary web-based Early Cost Assessment platform designed to provide clients a cost-effective advantage in managing large volumes of electronically stored information (ESI).

Performance and usability enhancements make Exego even faster and easier to use, while enhanced reporting and project management functions allow clients to more efficiently sort and manage significant amounts of ESI data. New features include:

Content Analyst Concept Search: Search the document population using concept or issue based searches, with the capability to apply multiple concept searches, view all related documents and combine concept searching with Boolean search. Full reporting on the results of Concept Searches can be used for future validation and auditing purposes.

Hot Documents: When highly responsive documents are found in review, these can be used to quickly and effectively search the entire document population for similar documents.

“Our goal since launching Exego has been to continue to improve its features and capabilities to outpace the rapidly evolving e-discovery landscape,” said Zoltan Horvath, president of Planet Data. “We are excited to introduce an updated version that offers enhanced usability, faster results and a broader range of functions, while maintaining the quality and defensibility for which our Exego solution is known.”

Exego distinguishes itself as a true workflow platform as part of the Cerulean Engine™. The benefit to the client is defensibility, chain of custody and quality are part of one process, insuring that data is processed correctly. Exego utilizes best practice methodologies to reduce the amount of data processed and reviewed in litigation. Designed by in-house experts in conjunction with client needs, Exego significantly reduces document review time and costs. The ability to search, filter, cull, reduce duplication and report metrics early in the discovery process allows a litigation team to be ahead of opposing counsel at the outset of a case.

Existing Exego features include: the ability to search against fully processed data (OCR, Decryption and full extraction of embedded objects has already been done) for complete results; detailed analysis of Searches using the Exego Search Analysis report including what searches are hitting on documents, how words and sub-phrases in individual searches are performing and whether searches are hitting on meta-data or the actual text of a document; comprehensive use of Document Tags and Logic in Exego; and Export Reports that provide an audit trail of how documents are found and added to an export.
