Paradigm Sample™ Launches Consumer Research Field’s First Full-Featured Smartphone (iPhone) App

Paradigm Sample™ continues its position as a leading innovator in mobile capabilities for the consumer research industry with its introduction of an application for smartphones that enables panel participants to undergo the complete panel experience via the iPhone. Previously, the industry standard was PC-driven with a web portal.    

The company developed its new iPhone app for IdeaShifters™, its custom panel of hard to reach, yet highly coveted consumers in the18-34 demographic who are specially recruited from across the U.S. for their receptivity to and usage of mobile devices.

Using the iPhone’s location-based services technology, Paradigm Sample™ can send panelists tailored surveys and information based on where they are at the moment and as they are actively making purchase decisions. Instead of relying on more intrusive e-mail communications, an icon pops up on their iPhones to indicate a questionnaire when panelists go to a specific retail location, such as a convenience store.

In addition to the ability to receive and complete localized, criteria-specific surveys on their iPhones, panelists also can view their account status and applicable incentives for participation, and redeem points. Further, should panelists record negative comments about their shopping experiences, store managers will receive immediate notification so they can remedy the situation and minimize the potential impact of social media.

The iPhone app, which will be available at Apple’s online App Store by the end of July, is the first step in Paradigm Sample’s™ mobile application roadmap. Forthcoming over the next few months will be an app for the Android platform with at minimum the same functionality as well as expanded capabilities in the iPhone app to address client’s data needs.
