New York, NY (PRWEB) June 06, 2011
UltraLinq Healthcare Solutions is planning to continue their support of Gift of Life International’s mission through an interactive attendee benefit at this years’ American Society of Echocardiography Scientific Sessions, held June 11th -14th in Montreal, Quebec.
The benefit will be an opportunity for ASE attendees to contribute to the GOLI cause by visiting the UltraLinq booth and sharing which country they see telemedicine playing the most vital role in and why. If over 200 world entries are made UltraLinq and its’ partners have agreed to purchase and donate an ultrasound machine to the Gift of Life International cause.
The donated equipment will be paired with the UltraLinq solution to assist in the continued placement of children with congenital heart defects to hospitals that can perform the needed interventional surgeries. Last year in the country of El Salvador alone GOLI was able to place children in need at 28 hospitals in 13 different countries.
Allen Feehan, of Gift of Life International, is pleased to see this continuation of UltraLinq’s support of GOLI through the benefit. “Thanks to their generosity, the UltraLinq solution is now central to our mission of getting medical records to hospitals worldwide as we seek to place children from medically underserved areas of the world into hospitals that can save their young lives. We now do in a few hours what, only a year ago, often took weeks. Some of our children do not have weeks.”
UltraLinq’s CEO, Stephen Farber, is also enthusiastic about the fundraiser. “Gift of Life provides an enormously valuable service to some of those children most in need. Through this benefit, as well as the ongoing contribution of the UltraLinq system to Gift of Life to use as their image sharing platform, we see the real value and impact of people and technology in telemedicine.”
