Cambridge, MA and New York, NY (PRWEB) June 07, 2011
Common Impact, a nonprofit organization that brings together global companies and local nonprofits to build stronger communities through skills-based volunteering partnerships, has named Danielle Holly as the new director of its Greater New York programs.
The appointment marks the latest step in Common Impact’s trajectory of growth and expansion of program offerings. Having expanded operations in several cities across the U.S. throughout 2010 and 2011, the organization has appointed Holly to lead the implementation of both strategic consulting engagements with corporate partners and skills-based volunteering projects at nonprofits in need of expertise form corporate partner employees.
Holly, who has overseen the design and implementation of capacity-building programs for Common Impact’s nonprofit partners since 2007, will be based in New York and will be responsible for setting and executing strategy in the region. This will include both oversight of the design and implementation of skills-based volunteering and consulting engagements, and the expansion of Common Impact’s reach in the New York area.
“Danielle’s new role represents both a well-deserved advancement for her and an enormous growth opportunity for our organization,” said Common Impact founder and chief executive officer Theresa Ellis. “We are proud and excited that Danielle has accepted this challenge and look forward to the successes she will help us continue to cultivate in New York and beyond.”
Danielle Holly joined Common Impact after working in the private sector for a brokerage firm in New York City. In this role, she was responsible for managing and maintaining broker and client relationships and overseeing charitable donations. Holly also has several years of experience in the nonprofit community as a business consultant for multiple organizations.
Danielle has earned her B.A. at Fordham University in New York City and an MBA in Marketing and International Management from Boston University.
“Having been a part of Common Impact for nearly five years, I know this organization combines both tremendous promise and proven success in delivering value for companies, nonprofits and their communities,” noted Holly. “I am honored to be stepping into this new role, where I hope to help shepherd in a new level of success for Common Impact and the partners we serve.”
