Management of cardiac patients during pregnancy is a challenge that requires a multidisciplinary approach, an understanding of the cardiovascular physiology and careful selection of diagnostic and therapeutic modalities which provide a high yield for the mother and a maximum safety for the fetus. Since clinical trials do not tend to include pregnant patients, the management of cardiac problems in pregnancy depends mainly on clinical reports and physician experience. This situation has brought about a great growth in knowledge, and the goal of the CPP is to efficiently contribute to this knowledge and to the cooperation of practitioners in the field.

The program of the 2nd CPP will include invited lectures, workshops as well as original oral and poster presentations which will cover a wide spectrum of topics in all disciplines related to pregnancy associated cardiovascular conditions. Main topics will be: Risk assessment of the Cardiac Patient before Pregnancy; Genetic Consultation in the Cardiac Patient Prior and During Pregnancy; Cardiac Evaluation during Pregnancy; Cardiovascular Imaging in the Pregnant Patient; Congenital Heart Disease and Pregnancy; Valvular Disease and Pregnancy; Pregnancy in the Patients with Artificial Heart Valve, and more.
CPP also offers an excellent opportunity to the industry to promote their products, devices and services to a targeted audience of key decision makers.

The vivacious city of Berlin will be an appropriate host for this unique and important congress, with its architectural monuments, museums, green oases and nightlife galore.
