Savingforcollege.com's popular annual event, the 529 Conference & Boot Camp, is returning to Las Vegas this fall, offering program managers and investment professionals the opportunity to stay up-to-date on developments affecting “Section 529” college savings programs.

JFH Innovative LLC, a Pittsford, N.Y.-based publisher and consulting company, has announced the opening of registration for Savingforcollege.com's 529 Conference & Boot Camp. Each year this event attracts a large number of industry professionals to learn and share ideas about the management and marketing of "Section 529" college savings programs.

The 529 Boot Camp is being held on October 19, 2011 while the 529 Industry Conference is slated for October 20 and 21, 2011. Both conferences will be located at the Venetian Resort Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 529 Boot Camp is a one-day immersion into 529 plans and other college planning topics. "529 Guru" Joe Hurley from Savingforcollege.com is joined by industry experts Andrea Feirstein and Chris Stack to provide the technical knowledge needed by 529 program specialists along with useful planning strategies. Topics include federal and state income tax rules, gift and estate tax planning, financial aid, 529 program best practices, and a comparison of alternative college savings vehicles.

The 529 Industry Conference focuses on the most important issues and opportunities for those involved in the 529 plan industry and is targeted to new and experienced 529 program staff, product managers at all levels of distribution, state officials and board members, legal and tax specialists, and anyone else with 529 functional responsibilities. This year’s conference theme is "529s: New Solutions." Many of the country's most respected 529 experts will be participating over one and one-half days of lively panel discussions.

Savingforcollege.com’s 529 conferences have attracted thousands of participants in past years and are well-known for their quality and breadth. “This was a highly worthwhile conference, not only for new information on the 529 market, but also for connecting with peers,” says one past attendee of the 529 Industry Conference.
