Pei Li’s Dollhouse Miniatures introduces the beauty and unique qualities of air dry clay, through a new series of creative and fun dollhouse miniature workshops.
Air dry clay is seeing more use as an alternative to traditional crafting materials, as it doesn’t require baking. Artist Pei Li Chin, owner of Pei Li Miniatures, is an expert with air dry clay and creates exquisite dollhouse miniatures famous worldwide.
“Air dry clay is slowing gaining popularity due to the fact that unlike polymer clay, it does not require baking,” said Pei Li. “However, there is still a lot of curiosity around this medium, as there are not many instructor-led workshops that delve into this medium deeply. Hence, there is still a lot of misconception and unexplored knowledge about air dry clay.
“I will be conducting a 2.5 hour workshop to introduce dollhouse miniature flower making using air dry clay,” continued Pei Li. “Many people think that it is very difficult, but I want others to know that it is not difficult once you understand how to incorporate various techniques using air dry clay. It is possible to create realistic dollhouse miniature flowers!”
Pei Li offers classes conducted in English and special class arrangements are available for overseas travelers to Singapore. Participants will learn how to use air dry clay, along with a variety of techniques to emulate her success with dollhouse miniatures. Pei Li shares her knowledge and expertise in classes where attendees will learn to make a shabby shelf, pink gerbera, Christmas train or a cupcake deli case. All materials are provided.
Pei Li’s air dry clay miniatures are extremely detailed. They’ve been a sensation everywhere they’ve appeared and highly sought by collectors worldwide.
