As always, charity is a major focus with GBK Gift Lounge’s. The GBK MTV Movie Awards Gift Lounge was no exception. Featured charities included; St. Bernard Project, a national award-winning New Orleans rebuilding agency that continues to return Katrina victims back to their homes and communities, while also providing free mental health services for those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the other stress-related ailments after Katrina or the oil spill catastrophe; MyLife MyPower’s national campaign is intended to reach out to bullies, their victims, schools, teachers, parents, etc. and ask that others will help join them in there fight to end bullying. They will provide guests with a book and a wrist band; Educating Young Minds aims at creating a rich and diverse supplemental learning environment where students are encouraged to grow academically, emotionally, spiritually and socially and SoHo Project (Sisters Offering Hope to Others), is an organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for nonprofits by offering new and creative platforms that integrate artists.

New to GBK Gifting Lounges was musical and dance performances. Pop music singer and songwriter, Jared Lee serenaded the audience with his singing and beautiful piano skills. QUINCY-G, a popular R&B/POP Artist from Buffalo New York, Mike Burke, YouTube sensation, Joseph Vincent and Pullman Standard a cabaret and indie rock band performed throughout the two-day gifting suite. DJ eTunes got everyone to their feet as he spun on the turntables, rocking the crowd.
In addition to the luxury gifts, gadgets, fashions, music and charity fun, there were many sweets and treats filling every inch of the suite. Sweet Rose Creamery offered small batch organic ice cream treats from bon bons to ice cream sandwiches to scoops; Dotpops! Bakery provided scrumptious balls of cake coated in a decorated candy shell; build your own ice cream bars of all natural ingredients used to make the creamiest, premium ice cream on a stick then hand-dipped into real chocolate and finally rolled into your choice of candy and nut toppings were provided by Boardwalk Ice Cream Co.; designer caramel apples were provided by Apple Revolution and Waialua Soda Works, a natural, old fashioned soda company based on the North Shore of Hawaii quenched everyone’s thirst.
GBK’s lounge swarming with celebrities, created quite the buzz around LA as it was visited by several top media outlets and was featured on E! News Weekend.
