Victor, NY (PRWEB) June 09, 2011
Building on more than 30 years of telecommunications experience, innovation and customer service, REDCOM Laboratories, Inc., announced today new advances in TRANSip®, its IP Technology suite that enhances interoperability and functionality. REDCOM has been granted a United States Patent No. 7,920,831 titled Push-To-Talk and Push-To-Signal (PTT/PTS) Signalling in an Internet Protocol Network.
The Push-To-Talk and Push-To-Signal (PTT/PTS) feature is now available with TRANSip®, REDCOM’s VoIP technology suite that provides an innovative IP communications solution. TRANSip integrates key IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) elements in one single platform, bringing call management functionality while offering call setup, control, termination, and directory services for IP subscribers through an architecture based on industry standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), for seamless interoperability.
Push-To-Talk and Push-To-Signal (PTT/PTS) is used in many applications including government, military, and emergency response to control muting of a telephone handset’s transmitter and to signal connected equipment such as radios that their transmitters are to be keyed. REDCOM’s enhanced Push-To-Talk and Push-To-Signal (PTT/PTS) over Internet Protocol Network eliminates differerential latency problems in a Voice-over-Internet (VoIP) telephone system providing advanced interoperability.
“REDCOM differentiates itself by being a pioneer and an innovator in IP Communications” said Klaus Gueldenpfennig, REDCOM’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Our customers demand robust functionality from our IP-based switch platforms and PTT/PTS over an IP Network is now a reality”.
Push-To-Talk and Push-To-Signal (PTT/PTS) is now offered in REDCOM’s Link Command System (LCS) — a GUI call management system that delivers extensive conferencing, call control and handling capabilities.
