Company Known for their "Preppy Glasses" is Broadening Horizons

It’s So Personal, the Charlotte-area personalized stemmed-glass company sweeping the Southeast with their line of “Preppy Glasses” has partnered with Holt Public Relations (http://www.holtprco.com) effective immediately.    

It’s So Personal, which began with the design of a single “Signature Preppy Glass” has grown into a wholesale company with multiple designs and styles in almost 200 stores. Founder Kacki Sweeney states, “I wanted to create something that epitomized the Southern, Preppy style, while still giving people the option of making it unique. It was also important to give people a product that was classic and durable, unlike many of the customizable glasses out there.”

Recently, Meredith Holt, Creative Director and owner of Holt PR, and It’s So Personal have collaborated to allow the company to continue to evolve by re-designing the website (http://www.preppyglasses.com) to incorporate a retail shopping cart, where individuals can order or design their own preppy glasses directly.

Holt PR’s primary responsibilities include maintaining the company’s website, identifying new markets and opportunities, designing print and digital collateral, including a semi-annual catalog, building consumer and business relationships, and maintaining continuous communication with vendors and customers through social media and direct marketing campaigns.

It’s So Personal has recently expanded operations to include plastic tumblers, which the company added with the “Preppy person on the go” in mind. The tumblers come complete with a lid and straw. Plans to further expand through other customizable products are currently in the works, beginning with picture frames.

Preppy Glasses are made with a seven-year, waterproof outdoor vinyl that will not peel under normal wear and tear. Known for their polka dots, each glass is identifiable as a “Preppy Glass”, yet can be customized to incorporate individual tastes. Today, there are dozens of design options, including monograms, phrases, and designs, including holiday, collegiate, and a Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Ribbon Glass. However, true to form, the best seller remains the original Signature Preppy Glass, which has pink and green polka dots and a single initial.

The designer, a wife and mother of two young boys, started It’s So Personal as a creative outlet in her own home. A few years and hundreds of vendors later, she continues to oversee all operations of the company, and is responsible for each new style and design. She epitomizes the ultimate southern belle, and has a unique eye for identifying consumer needs. Kacki currently resides in Waxhaw, NC.
