Dallas, TX (PRWEB) June 07, 2011
Hitachi Consulting, a leading provider of IT consulting and management consulting solutions and services, today announced Mike Gillis, its Senior Vice President of the Microsoft Global Alliance, was ranked number three on this year’s Dynamics World Top 100 list of Most Influential People in Microsoft Dynamics®. Gillis moved up two spots; last year he held the number five position.
The annual Top 100 list recognizes the most prominent contributors to the Microsoft Dynamics community, including industry leaders, thought leaders, innovators, and bloggers. With more than 1,000 nominees and more than 500,000 votes, the three-year-old list – sponsored by Dynamics World -- is now firmly established in the Microsoft Dynamics consciousness.
Gillis is a long-time innovator and leader in the Microsoft Dynamics community. His accomplishments include helping to establish Hitachi Consulting’s Global Microsoft Dynamics practice and founding Iteration2, a multiple Microsoft Dynamics partner of the year winner that was acquired by Hitachi Consulting in 2007. He was also instrumental in making these organizations a successful Microsoft Dynamics AX partner, helping support Microsoft Dynamics AX Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and creating a global distribution channel of Microsoft Dynamics AX resellers. Gillis also participates in numerous Microsoft Dynamics boards and councils, is a Microsoft Dynamics Eagle Award recipient, and was the first person inducted into Microsoft Dynamics Hall of Fame.
Under his leadership, Hitachi Consulting has been named Microsoft Dynamics Partner of the Year several times, and our clients have consistently received Customer Excellence awards for their Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online implementations. He has also led the company to achieve Microsoft Dynamics President’s Club and Inner Circle year after year.
On his colleague and former business partner being named one of the top three most influential people in Microsoft Dynamics, Hitachi Consulting’s Senior Vice President of Microsoft Dynamics Strategic Technology Solutions (and co-founder of Iteration2) Greg Carter said, “I’ve worked alongside Mike a long time and this honor is testament to his undeniable integrity, proven credibility, and unwavering commitment to customers, partners, and Microsoft. He is a huge asset to Hitachi Consulting, Microsoft, and our customers. ”
“It’s an honor to be associated with such influential people and to contribute to a growing and vibrant Microsoft Dynamics community,” said Gillis. “As great as Microsoft Dynamics is, the best is yet to come with the release of AX 2012. Our early customers and consultants love it. We are also seeing impressive customer adoption of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and CRM Online. I’m excited at the challenge -- we are in for a great ride!”
