Proceeds from the event will go to Sound Art, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing music education and enrichment to children of all ages in the greater Los Angeles area.

The Love By Art® Exhibit will serve as a benefit for and recognition of the work Sound Art is doing in the Los Angeles community. The all age's event will showcase artwork from local Los Angeles artists representing various media formats and styles, which will also include several live music performances. One of the highlights of the exhibit is artist Dale B. Davis, a pillar of the local art community as both an artist and mentor. Davis’ profound body of work will also be featured in the Hammer Museum's Now Dig This! Art and Black Los Angeles 1960-1980 exhibit opening in October 2011. Since its formation in 2002 by Catherine Goldwyn, Sound Art LA has made an indelible impact on society by providing over 15,000 children with their first exposure to music education. Sound Art serves the inner city neighborhoods where enrichment programs are most scarce. With continuing budget cuts across school systems, music, arts and other extra-curricular programs have been hard hit. Yet studies show that music education leads to improved overall academic performance and improves at-risk students’ drop-out rates. Even further, music education is shown to build self-esteem, self-direction and confidence among children and youth.
