She Was FATED to Live This Life

Author’s new book to be featured at this year’s American Library Association Annual Book Exhibit in New Orleans on June 24-27

This piece of work is neither written as a vendetta to those who have wronged her throughout life nor as a way to shame them publicly. Author Tera Clausen shares her story so others can avoid pain, learn how to say no, speak up for oneself, and recognize when opportunity is given to them. In her newly published memoir, readers will discover that she was FATED to endure and live it.

Through this autobiographical piece of writing, the author takes the reader back into childhood to remind them all how lonely being a child can be, and how hard it is to grow up. As a girl, she had to live through the adversity of divorce, sexual exploitation, an abusive stepfather, and then as she became older, she continued the pattern through horrible relationships. As she became an adult, she started to keep secrets of her own and live a life that she didn’t want her family a part of.

“All of life’s lessons are intertwined with other things. Life is completely unavoidable. All throughout my life, everything seemed to be swept under the rug and ignored. As I became an adult I started to hide my own actions and noticed I was following the same pattern. I write to break the silence. This is my life, and I am entitled to not be ashamed of who I am,” reveals the author.

She invites everyone to come with her down the downward spiral as she tries to make sense of life, and stop the whirlwind that seems to rule her actions.
