Earlier this week, Telematics Update announced the winners of the 9th Annual Telematics Update Awards at an industry gala dinner, the Renaissance Hotel Barronette, Novi, MI. 14 worthy winners collected their trophies at the Telematics Awards ceremony. The ceremony was opened by Clear Channel’s Ryan Seacrest – host of American Idol and On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
The awards dinner took place on the eve of the 11th annual Telematics Detroit 2011 Conference & Exhibition - the world's largest and most prestigious telematics conference which broke all previous records as the most successful Telematics Detroit to date.
The entries were judged by a selection of independent consultants and industry experts. Category finalists were announced in April after much anticipation.

Upon receiving the trophy for for Best Telematics Service Provider, Martin Rosell, Managing Director of WirelessCar remarked, "Being awarded this prize was a very welcomed recognition of 12 years customer focus and innovation. As the only automaker to win 2 awards on the evening, for Hyundai Blue Link, Michael Deitz, Senior group manager, Hyundai Motor America announced, “We’re honoured that Telematics Update recognized Hyundai’s innovative Blue Link platform with two prestigious awards. Blue Link technology is designed to make life easier, and delivers on that promise at launch with more than 30 features packaged conveniently for all types of drivers”.
