Forum Communications International announced today the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the company. Forum commemorated the occasion with a 20th Anniversary Gala at the Event 1013 center in Historic Downtown Plano, TX.

Forum Communications International announced today the celebration of the Twentieth anniversary of the founding of the company.

Forum commemorated the occasion with a Twentieth Anniversary Gala held May 20, 2011 at Event 1013 in Historic Downtown Plano, TX. The event was hosted by Forum founders Dr. Raj Natarajan and Gayne Ek. The guests included employees, their families, customers, and business partners from over two decades of successful business relationships. The event included dinner, music by the renowned Brian Piper Trio, and a multimedia show highlighting the last twenty years.

Forum Communications was founded in May 1991, when Dr. Raj Natarajan and Gayne Ek, former associates at DSP Technology Corporation, formed the company based on the Confer product line. The two entrepreneurs had already acquired the assets from DSP during bankruptcy proceedings. Forum continued production of the Confer line from the new corporate headquarters facility in Richardson, TX, as the newly refined Confer product garnered industry awards and sales continued to soar.

By 1992 the next evolution of the product, the Confer II was introduced to rave industry reviews and product awards from Teleconnect and Computer Telephony magazines and industry experts worldwide.

Throughout the 1990's and into the new millennia, Forum continued to innovate with the introduction of numerous additional product lines, including the acquisition of the immensely successful Consortium Conference Server technology from Tellabs, and the Alert Emergency Conference System, designed in collaboration with the United States Air Force specifically for military flight lines. By this time, Forum products are serving customers in over 45 countries on 5 continents, supporting military and enterprise customers, distance learning solutions and critical Emergency response applications.

Today, Forum Communications has emerged as one of the most successful technology companies in the country, with a number of award winning product lines that continue to evolve, the country's top enterprise customers utilizing custom vertical market applications, and products listed on the Department of Defense Approved Products List for military deployments and government applications worldwide.

Most recently, Forum announced the introduction of the Alert II Emergency Conference System, the next generation product in the award winning Alert series developed by Forum. The Alert II provides instant emergency conference communications for airport first responders and improves emergency Airfield response times for military and commercial airports.

Forum also recently announced the introduction of the latest Consortium II Conference Server, and the subsequent approval by the Department of Defense (DOD) for deployment to the U.S. Defense Switched Network (DSN), the communications network serving the DOD and other federal departments, agencies and contractors. The latest release now supports up to 480 conference participants and includes additional features to support Pre-Set Blast Dial conferencing as well as Blast Notifications of voice messages.
