New ownership group welcomes both new and returning guests to create warm memories and rekindle stories of the past.

It’s official, Telemark Resort is now under the ownership of Telemark Partners LLC. Telemark Resort proudly announces its rebirth as a destination location for avid outdoor enthusiasts and vacationing families alike. The partners would like to welcome everyone to come and explore all the amenities the wonderful resort has to offer. Telemark Resort boasts the largest convention space in Northern Wisconsin with plenty of options for small corporate retreats or large trade shows.

Telemark, named after the Telemark region of Norway, was founded in 1946 by Tony Wise, one of America’s first alpine ski areas. In 1973, Tony started the American Birkebeiner, modeled after the Norwegian race of the same name. The lodge, built in 1972, sits amongst Telemark’s more than 1,100 acres of beautiful rolling, tree-covered hills. By that time, Telemark had become the centerpiece of cross country skiing in America, and skiers from all over the world traveled to the resort to experience its slopes. In addition to the Birkie, Telemark traditionally hosts numerous annual regional, national, and international cross country skiing, cycling, and running events. The Chequamegon Fat Tire (Mountain Bike) Festival has gained a reputation for fun and furious competition.

The partners state, “Telemark’s foundation is sound, and its brand is unique and world famous.” Telemark is a resort that greets thousands of guests each February as they arrive to participate and celebrate the Birkie. The flashing beacon on Mt. Telemark lets them know that they have arrived someplace awe-inspiring and breathtaking. The resort warms its guests’ figurative and physical hearts with its massive stone fireplace and friendly, accommodating staff. Telemark’s solid foundation and unique brand equity will provide a firm base to renew and nurture a profitable and sustainable enterprise.

In conjunction with the new ownership group, Telemark Resort has rolled out its summer room rate specials in anticipation of a bustling season:

  •     Sunday through Thursday - $69 per night (Includes breakfast buffet and bar credit)
  •     Friday and Saturday - $89 per night (Includes breakfast buffet and bar credit)

The lodge provides its guests with more than just comfortable rooms.
