Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) June 20, 2011
Solarsoft Business Systems, a leading provider of enterprise software and IT services to manufacturers worldwide, announced today that Menasha Packaging has chosen to enhance its PROPLUS project management and best-practice process solutions with Solarsoft’s Workgroups for Packaging customer relationship management and project workflow management software.
“We wanted to enhance our PROPLUS solution to improve ease-of-use and efficiency for our users,” said Anu Varma, Director of Information Systems and Solutions at Menasha Packaging. The PROPLUS solution at Menasha provides customers online project management tools to view and report merchandising project information from concept through manufacturing execution and shipping. PROPLUS also offers customers the expertise of a Menasha Packaging product manager, on site or off, to support merchandising initiatives.
Menasha Packaging evaluated several software packages, going through an extensive process. “One of the reasons we chose Workgroups for Packaging is its flexibility in terms of what we could do to configure the system for ourselves and for our customers,” said Varma. “From a maintenance perspective we wouldn’t be dependent on the vendor to make changes.”
Another benefit of Workgroups, according to Varma, is that it allows Menasha to better centralize workflow, scheduling, approvals and electronic forms to further enhance communications and planning between customers and suppliers.
Menasha Packaging is also an existing user of Solarsoft’s enterprise resource planning software for corrugated manufacturers, Business VantagePoint (BVP). “We use BVP at all of our corrugated locations,” said Varma. “The seamless integration between BVP and Workgroups for Packaging is another huge benefit for us.”
“We are excited to continue our partnership with Menasha Packaging in support of their PROPLUS project management service,” said Peter Dobell, Vice President, Packaging Division at Solarsoft. “This is an example of a great company taking their already comprehensive project management offering a step further for the benefit of its customers.”
