The "Fighting Porn in Our Culture...and Winning!" program equips parents and clergy with the tools needed to protect families from pornography and help those addicted to it.

Pornography addiction is a silent epidemic in America, according to Dr. Peter C. Kleponis of Comprehensive Counseling Services and The Institute for Marital Healing. It's just as serious as drug and alcohol addiction, and it's destroying marriages, families and careers.
Forty-million American adults regularly visit pornography websites, with ten percent admitting to addiction, according to Pornland: How Porn has Hijacked Our Sexuality, by Gail Dines (2010). Twenty percent of men admit to accessing pornography in the workplace. Most men today become addicted to pornography through the Internet, often called cybersex.
Many Catholic parents worry about how to protect their families from pornography. Priests are also concerned because pornography use is one of the most frequently confessed sins today. They want to know how to help parishioners who struggle with pornography use. All are wondering how to deal with a society that is saturated with pornographic images.
To help Catholic parents and clergy, Dr. Kleponis created the "Fighting Porn in Our Culture...and Winning!" program. It consists of a series of conference talks designed to educate people on the problem of pornography and how to address it, all from a Catholic perspective. Topics include:
- The Pornography Problem in America
- The Church's Teaching on Pornography
- The Root Causes of Pornography Use and Addiction
- How to Protect Young Children from Pornography
- How to Teach Adolescents about the Dangers of Pornography and How to Avoid It
- An Effective Seven-Point Plan for Recovery from Pornography Addiction
- The Role of Catholic Spirituality in Recovery
- How Clergy can Help Those Who Struggle with Pornography Use.
Over the past year, Dr. Kleponis has presented his program to priests from several dioceses, as well as seminaries, colleges, and parent's groups. No other program like it currently exists and feedback has been extremely positive. Conferences are currently booked well into 2012. Parents and clergy come away from the program equipped with the tools needed to protect families and help those who struggle with pornography addiction.
Dr. Kleponis is available to present his "Fighting Porn in Our Culture...and Winning!" program throughout the United States and Internationally. He is also available to help individuals, couples and families who struggle with pornography addiction through his private practice.
