Close To The Beach, Spacious Glens Villas Are A Fraction Of The Cost Of Beachfront Accommodations

Family-friendly, affordable accommodations for Myrtle Beach vacations are being offered at The Village at the Glens this summer. Guests can rent a spacious villa just minutes from the beach for much less than beachfront accommodations.

Two-bedroom villas are just $799 for seven nights, and three-bedroom villas are available for just $899. This rate is all inclusive, meaning that there are no additional taxes or other fees. Adjacent to Heather Glen Golf Links, the villas are roomier than beachfront accommodations and feature two full baths, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and a large living and dining area. Each bedroom has two double beds.

Guests have access to all on-site resort facilities including a pool and grilling areas, plus those staying at the villas can get discounted golf fees at any of the Glens Golf Group's four golf courses.

“Similar accommodations on the beach typically cost almost double these rates in summer season,” said Elise Ogden, property manager of the Village of the Glens. “This is a great deal for families looking to stretch their summer vacation dollars.”

The Village at the Glens is a popular golf resort that is also a favorite with summer vacationers who are savvy shoppers. In the summer season, there are fewer golfers in town, so the resort offers its spacious villas to families and other guests coming to Myrtle Beach.

Close to all there is to see and do around Myrtle Beach, the Village at the Glens is a 10-minute drive from the beach on the northern Grand Strand. Restaurants, amusement parks, miniature golf courses, live entertainment theaters and shopping are nearby. The rustic charm of the quaint fishing village of Little River with its waterfront dining and fishing and the world-famous seafood of Calabash, N.C. are also just minutes away.

“We're excited to offer this great value to our guests,” said Elise Ogden, property manager of Village at the Glens. “The economy is tough on everyone and we're all looking for ways to make the most of our vacation dollars. For one great all-inclusive low rate, our guests can be near the beach, shopping, dining and attractions for significantly less. And, we guarantee they'll be in more comfortable and spacious accommodations than you'll find at the beach, which makes it an especially great deal for family on a budget.”

About The Glens Golf Group
The flagship of The Glens Golf Group is Heather Glen, which is located in Little River, S.C. on a magnificent, 400-acre historic site. Designed by Willard Byrd and Clyde Johnston, the course opened in 1987.

Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links, often referred to as “Myrtle Beach’s Most Talked About Course,” was designed by Clyde Johnston in a tribute to legendary course architect Donald Ross. Glen Dornoch is a traditional course and each hole flows with the natural terrain of lakes, live oaks and spectacular marsh and river views.

Known as the “Friendliest Course On The Beach,” Possum Trot has an honored place in the history of Myrtle Beach golf. One of the first ten championship courses built along Myrtle Beach’s Grand Strand, which now has more than 100 golf courses, Possum Trot has stood the test of time. The course’s Old English design features spacious fairways, challenging par 5’s, as well as flawlessly manicured greens and spectacular flower displays.

Inspired by world-famous courses like Winged Foot and Augusta National, architect Clyde Johnston designed a traditional British Isles course at Shaftesbury Glen Golf & Fish Club, located on the banks of South Carolina’s beautiful Waccamaw River. Shaftesbury Glen was recently named 2009 Golf Course of the Year by Myrtle Beach area golf course owners.
