Stephen Taylor joins AdInsight as chairman

Stephen brings an enormous amount of industry experience to AdInsight at a time when the company is growing very quickly and positioning itself as a market leader in the call tracking space.

Stephen Taylor, a former regional vice-president of Yahoo! Europe, joined Manchester based call tracking and analytics company AdInsight as chairman on Friday 10th June. The company was recently named among the 100 most promising technology start-ups in Europe by the Telegraph and industry monitor TechCrunch.

Taylor joins directors and co-founders Ross Fobian and Richard Hamnett, who started AdInsight in 2008 and saw the company grow 344% in 2010, with an expected growth of at least 300% in 2011.

AdInsight Clarity software ensures that offline interactions with a company are fully integrated into the most sophisticated online analytics by tracking the exact path each visitor takes to a client’s website, including what the visitor did on the site before, during and after the phone call.

The call tracking software reports back on every keyword, advert, referring website and click that causes a website visitor to pick up the phone and call; providing important ROI statistics for marketers in terms of budget spent.

Stephen is a senior digital leader and advisor. Amongst other things, he is currently senior advisor to leading TMT Corporate Finance advisory firm, goetzpartners, and board advisor to mobile DSP StrikeAd.

He was formerly CEO of Qype, Europe’s most successful user generated local review company, growing the business from five to seventeen million unique users per month as well as introducing the pioneering and successful mobile strategy and leading major commercial partnerships.

Previously, Stephen was Regional Vice President and Managing Director for Yahoo! Europe, with responsibility for all aspects of the European Consumer business. Before Yahoo!, Stephen joined the early stages of Overture Inc, the global pioneer of sponsored search marketing. Under his leadership, Overture Europe evolved from a single to a multi-product organisation and went from loss to profit. Overture was successfully sold to Yahoo! for $1.7bn in 2003.
