New York, NY (PRWEB) June 16, 2011
A new 13-hour video series from training company InfiniteSkills Inc. has been released to help new users understand the fundamental concepts and tools of Autodesk AutoCAD 2012. The course uses a project-based learning model to replicate real world design challenges and provide viewers with a practical understanding of the application that builds with every lesson.
“AutoCAD is used in hundreds of industries and thousands of individual positions. While Autodesk updates the program to keep its users on the cutting edge, it’s just as important that training resources used are just as current,” said Colin Boyd, sales director for InfiniteSkills. “Whether someone is a student looking for a supplemental learning tool or a professional who needs to complete a specific task, this series will show them what they need to know to be successful, with a flexible skill set that can be adapted to any line of work.”
The series has been written and narrated by expert CAD instructor Brian Benton, a seasoned AutoCAD professional who guides viewers through all the stages of a project, from setting up a functional workspace to exporting the final files for proofing, publishing or extended collaboration. Several chapters include a project component, and many projects build on previous work, encouraging viewers to directly work with the files included in the course. The AutoCAD tutorials conclude with a hands-on final project that incorporates all the skills users have learned.
The 111-lesson course runs a total of 13 hours, beginning with installation and new features. The lessons move through basic operations, drawing and drafting tools, editing, layers, blocks, model space, paper space and more. Viewers will learn to create drawings from scratch, edit, print, and share them in a variety of ways. Although the AutoCAD tutorial video lessons begin with basic concepts, users already familiar with AutoCAD will also find much they can learn. An entire chapter in the series outlines AutoCAD 2012's new features, designed to provide a concise yet complete run-through of the program’s tools and their impact on common workflows. Benton gets hands-on with associative array functionality, Autodesk Inventor Fusion options and other new tools.
“What's excellent about our top-selling AutoCAD series is that it allows for self-paced learning but maintains the same level quality found in a classroom or seminar course,” said Mike Spaulding, president of Infinite Skills. “AutoCAD classes typically cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, and we’re excited to offer an affordable way for anyone to get started with this game-changing software.”
The complete Autodesk AutoCAD 2012 training video series is now offered on the Infinite Skills website. The Mac- and Windows-compatible videos can be purchased as DVD-ROM or an instant digital download. Both training delivery options include usable work files. The AutoCAD 2012 Tutorial Video series retails for $99.95 and is available worldwide.
Free demos and detailed chapter information can be found on the tutorial product page.
