American Support Agrees to Acquire Evergreen Sales & Marketing, Combining Two Nationally Recognized Providers of Cable Support Services

American Support, a provider of support services for cable, telephone and Internet providers, has agreed to acquire Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Evergreen Sales & Marketing, a leading supplier of inbound and outbound call center services to the cable industry. The acquisition is scheduled to close by the end of the month.

The purchase expands the range of services the two companies can offer their clients. American Support provides billing, technical and customer support services to cable, telephone and Internet providers. Evergreen provides in-bound and out-bound telesales, quality assurance, list management and Hispanic and bi-lingual services to many of that nation’s largest cable providers.

Comcast named Evergreen Sales & Marketing its top vendor partner for achievement in overall quality from 2008 through 2010, and Time Warner named Evergreen its top vendor partner for achievement in overall quality for 2010, the first year this award was available for them.

“This is a natural combination of two companies that fully complement each other,” said Matt Zemon, president and CEO of Chapel Hill-based American Support. “American Support provides the care, technical support and billing component to subscriber management while Evergreen focuses on growing subscribers. Evergreen is very good at what they do and we look forward to working alongside their experienced management team, most of whom have 15 or more years of institutional knowledge.”

Added Evergreen President Jake Scully, “This is an ideal match for Evergreen, and we look forward to the expanded opportunities afforded to our team through this acquisition.”

Under terms of the deal, Evergreen Sales & Marketing, which has more than 20 years experience providing services to the cable industry, will maintain its brand identity and Scully will remain as president of the Evergreen division. All 325 Evergreen employees also will be retained in the acquisition.

Executives from American Support, powered by CSG Systems, will be on hand to discuss the acquisition at booth No. 2031 during The Cable Show in Chicago.
