Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) June 20, 2011
Abacus Solutions, an IT infrastructure solutions provider, hosted a Happy Hour event on May 25, 2011 in Atlanta, GA. Eleven of Abacus’ key partners joined Abacus as sponsors for the event.
This was a business networking opportunity for members of the IT community in Atlanta and the surrounding area. The opportunity to get engineers and product specialists from so many leading providers of data center management solutions is rare, and this informal setting allowed the attendee to focus their attention on the solutions, services and products that most interested them. There were no presentations, just tables set up and an open networking environment.
“Over our past 10 years in business we have established strong relationships with industry leaders,” said Joe Thompson, Vice President of Channels and Marketing. “It’s great to be able to get so many knowledgeable IT resources in one place at one time. This was a truly valuable opportunity for our customers to get exposed to the solutions that Abacus and our partners can offer.”
Participating partners that joined Abacus in hosting the Happy Hour were Dell Compellent, Dell KACE, Dell EqualLogic, Aruba, Bradford Networks, Brocade, Checkpoint, Citrix, AMD, Artec EMA, F5 and Red Hat. These partners offer solutions that focus on data center management - making the data center easier to control, specifically around the areas of storage, enterprise networking, security, and virtualization.
Compellent is a newer addition to the Dell line of offerings. Their enterprise storage technology always puts data in the right place at the right time for the right cost. The Dell EqualLogic Series is a family of virtualized iSCSI storage arrays that combine intelligence and automation with fault tolerance to provide enterprise performance and reliability and seamless scalability. Dell KACE is another exciting offering that addresses the systems management requirements of mid-sized organizations, automating many of the tedious projects that consume the System Administrator’s time.
Aruba is one of the world’s leading wireless LAN and remote networking vendors. They securely deliver enterprise networks to users, no matter where they are working from, while streamlining wireless access. Bradford Networks’ NAC solution automatically identifies and profiles all devices and all users on a network, providing complete visibility and control. Check Point is the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, delivering Total Security for networks, data and endpoints, unified under a single management framework.
Brocade’s innovative network solutions help the world’s leading organizations transition smoothly to a virtualized world where applications and information can reside anywhere. Citrix Systems focuses on unlocking applications from datacenters and employees from the office through virtual computing. AMD stands apart as a single source for platforms utilizing industry-leading technologies. F5 provides strategic points of control throughout the IT infrastructure, enabling organizations to scale and adapt with changing business demands. Red Hat provides support for the open source software that gives customers the choice, flexibility and power to build an IT infrastructure that makes their IT a strategic advantage.
The Happy Hour was held at the Georgian Club. The Georgian Club has great views of the city, as well as a beautiful event space where complimentary cocktails and appetizers were served. Participants were also entered into a raffle for great giveaways, including laptops, gift cards and more.
