Monday, June 20, 8:00 AM – Acclaimed adventurer, mountaineer, best-selling author, and inspiration for the Academy Award nominated film "127 Hours," Aron Ralston, will deliver the NENA 2011 keynote address and share his harrowing survival story and the leadership lessons learned.

Tuesday, June 21, 8:30 AM – FCC Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau Chief Jamie Barnett will highlight FCC activities designed to improve the E9-1-1 system; promote broadband availability for next generation emergency communications systems and emergency alerting; advance interoperability of public safety communications; and enhance communications infrastructure and network security.

Wednesday, June 22, 9:00 AM – A three-part Super Session will cover lessons learned from the Ft. Hood shooting, the issues surrounding LightSquared and GPS, and recent advances in the Mobile Health field. Through presentations, demonstrations, and dialogue, those on hand will hear from nationally recognized leaders and learn about the events, products, networks, applications, and services that are impacting consumer communications and revolutionizing emergency response.

Monday, June 20 – Thursday, June 23 – Educational sessions and workshops led by national 9-1-1 leaders; industry representatives; and federal, state, and local policy officials will address topics including: Next Generation 9-1-1; funding; national and state regulatory and legislative issues; 9-1-1 access for the deaf and hard of hearing; social networking; homeland security concerns; contingency planning; communications center operations; and more.

Monday, June 20 – Tuesday, June 21 – Exhibit Hall open, featuring the latest products and services from 120+ vendors and demonstrations of cutting edge and Next Gen technology live on the Hall floor.
