Coming on the heels of a breakout year starring in a popular web series, Upstairs Girls, with 140 Million YouTube Views, Erica Rhodes is ready, willing, and oh-so-able to take the mantle as America’s next comic sweetheart ( Her career is off to a fast start working with Hollywood heavyweights such as Meryl Streep, Martin Sheen, Garrison Keillor and Rob Lowe. Amongst the many talents in Erica’s comedic toolbelt are on-screen screams and orgasms, which clearly give her a leg – and lung – up on the competition. Now that the summer comedy season is upon us, it won’t be long before audiences are howling as loudly at Erica Rhodes’ films, as she does in them.

With the outlook for funny females in Hollywood at an all time high – thanks to the continued success of "30 Rock," "Parks And Recreation," and summer box office smash, "Bridesmaids" -- Erica Rhodes’ YouTube sensation and acting experience positions her to follow in the funny footsteps of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Kristen Wiig as America’s next comic sweetheart. At an age when her contemporaries are waitressing and bartending to make ends meet, Erica Rhodes (originally from Newton, Massachusetts) has already made her mark on Hollywood in several different media, including the web, radio, cinecasts, TV and independent films. After working with – and having wowed -- Garrison Keillor, Meryl Streep, and Martin Sheen, the smart money says Erica will succeed in a big way in commercial feature films next.

Erica’s comedy chops have been honed after years of being mentored by one of America’s foremost comic storytellers, Garrison Keillor. Erica has been a regular guest on Keillor’s legendary radio show, "A Prairie Home Companion," ever since she was 10-years-old, performing alongside Martin Sheen, Allison Janney, and Meryl Streep on the show. Garrison knew he’d discovered a treasure early, and describes her this way, “Erica Rhodes has exquisite comic timing and projects a sunnyness that makes darkness funny. She can be riveting, she can be beige, she does cluelessness well, and she is always on time, her homework done. A peach of an actor. She is smart and yet she screams better than anyone I know.” Screaming as it turns out is only one of Erica’s vocalizing talents. Erica has also unleashed some of the funniest on-screen orgasms since Meg Ryan in “When Harry Met Sally”. If Erica had been cast in "Hangover 2," the director would ask this comic sweetheart to scream with abandon at the sight of the bald-headed Zach Galifianakis and make moves on the smoking hot Bradley Cooper!

Sally Kirkland, a renowned acting coach, is particularly impressed with Erica’s broad range of talent. Sally shared, “I love coaching Erica. She runs the gamut, from tears and vulnerability to anger and sweetness. She is beautiful inside and out.” Having coached romantic comedy icon, Sandra Bullock ("The Proposal," "Miss Congeniality"), Sally should know how to identify a Hollywood comic sweetheart. In May, Erica appeared alongside Rob Lowe in a hilarious "Butterfinger the 13th" commercial created especially for viral Internet distribution, adding to Erica’s summer breakout.

Most recently, Erica was called “the Reese Witherspoon of the internet” by Max Worthington of the LA Comedy Awards when she was nominated for Most Hilarious Leading Actress in a Web Series for “Upstairs Girls” and “Sandys Channel” spinoff. High praise indeed for an actress who cannot only do a spot-on impression of Anna Faris (whose upcoming “What’s Your Number” should keep the female comedy train chugging along at the box office), but who is also clearly ready to duplicate Faris’ accomplishments on the big screen

Speaking of the big screen, Erica has been making inroads into the independent film world by starring in several indy features, including cult favorite “Plague Town”, which showed off her fabulous screaming to full effect. Erica’s resume may soon rival those of other Indy darlings like Michelle Williams ("Blue Valentine"), Chloe Sevigny ("Big Love"), Zooey Deschanel ("500 Days of Summer.") At the moment, Erica is shooting another horror flick, “Ditch Town”, and prepping to begin a road movie next month, currently titled, “Nowhere To Go But Everywhere.” That title, of course, describes Erica’s career as well, because everywhere is precisely where Erica Rhodes is going. Despite her upward trajectory, Erica knows the life she’s chosen is not an easy one. As she says, “Actors are masochistic; they like to suffer.” Erica’s suffering is sure to be offset by the sweet scream of success as America’s next Comic Sweetheart.
