New book follows the exciting adventures—and misadventures—of a fourth grader who enters the realm of magic

Children’s author R.S. Everburg brings delight to bookshelves as she releases Audrika’s Magic. Made available through Xlibris, this book follows the exciting adventures—and misadventures—of a little girl who’s suddenly swept into a world of enchantment.

Audrika hates fourth grade. She hates the fight she just had with her friends. But above all, she hates the thought of being away for the summer. With no prolonged discussion, her parents decide to have her stay with her Nana in Danielson, Connecticut, while they take on an assignment in a “dangerous part of the world”. For Audrika, this would mean a summer in what her father likes to call Yawnville. Little does this girl know that this vacation would open a portal that would lead her to a whole new world.

First, Audrika is welcomed by two wolves named Barnum and Bailey then she learns that fairies live in her Nana’s garden and soon, she unravels a mysterious family secret—that magic runs in their blood. Raised in a home with scientist parents who have little use for magic, Audrika is caught between reality and fantasy. But at this point, perhaps what she always thought was fantasy is in fact the real thing. Young readers will follow Audrika’s journey into the realm of magic while she discovers the wonders of friendship and family and sees the goodness in the world in the engaging pages of this book.
