Addison Reserve Country Club, Delray Beach, FL is pleased to welcome Zach Bell as their new executive chef. “We are thrilled that Zach is joining us at the club,” says Michael McCarthy, CEO and GM. “Our membership is going to be treated to culinary creations from an extremely talented young man.” Zach brings expertise, talent and passion to Addison. “We are anticipating the introduction of several new dining concepts with Zach at the helm.” McCarthy and Bell share a culinary background as well as a commitment to charitable works. Chef Bell was one of eight chefs chosen to provide a tasting menu for a reception to the U.S. House of Representatives for an initiative to improve nutrition in the school system. Zach, who has been involved with Share Our Strength since 2006, joins his efforts with First Lady Michelle Obama’s Chefs Move to School program. Chef Bell most recently prepared a luncheon for the Heart Association in Palm Beach and reigned supreme at Palm Beach County’s first Taste of the Nation hunger benefit. He has contributed to culinary events for The Daily Bread Food Bank, the March of Dimes and also makes regular demo appearances on South Florida Today.

Educated at Johnson & Wales, he worked with Chefs Marc Poidevin and Sacha Lyon at Miami’s Biz Bistro for two years before following them to Le Cirque 2000 in New York where he cultivated his love and personalized technique for French cuisine. He was soon to follow Andrew Carmellini to open Café Boulud with Daniel Boulud in October 1998. Ten years later, Zach brought Boulud’s idea of the finest in French cuisine to Palm Beach where he commanded the kitchen as Executive Chef, earning the restaurant the coveted Wine Spectator’s “Best Of” Award of Excellence, four stars in the Mobil Travel Guide, Stellar Hotel Restaurant, and Most Exciting New Menu, as well as Florida Trend Magazine’s Golden Spoon Award. Most recently Zach was nominated for “Rising Star Chef of the Year” for the South award by Star Chefs. Zach has also been a finalist four times for the prestigious James Beard Award for outstanding chef in the South.

Touted as the Best New Kid on the Block by Boca Raton magazine, Zach’s promising future is carving out a niche in culinary circles!
