Ohio Window and Door, a statewide home improvement service, has reached a milestone in its history. The firm is celebrating 20 years in operation during the month of June, 2011, according to Jim Fisher, owner of the company.

“Our overwhelming emotion is one of gratitude to the people of Ohio for their patronage throughout these two decades,” said Fisher. “Everyone knows you can’t stay in business unless you’re doing something right. While we never stop improving our service and product lines, I am telling everyone on the staff that this is an indication that they are doing a lot of something right!”

Fisher used one of his product lines as an example: “Replacement windows require precise installation. We know that our tradesmen are doing the job well because we have had so many referrals from satisfied customers through the years. It breaks my heart to hear the tales of people who had other guys mess it up. We only accept excellence from our crews, and they have delivered year after year. I’m proud of them!”

Fisher reflected on some of the changes he has experienced in the home improvement industry, such as the development of energy efficient products for the home. He pointed to double hung windows as an example of a simple concept that brings excellent return on investment in the form of energy bill reductions.

“In the 20 years we’ve been in business, these products have never been better! We enjoy demonstrating to our customers the benefits they will reap from energy efficient home improvements. Windows in older homes are such energy wasters. Trading them out for tight, well-designed products makes a world of difference. “

Fisher added a seasonal note: “This is the time of year when Ohioans will be coming in and out of their patio doors, using them a lot. If their door is as old as our company, then it is time for a change. I get enthusiastic about all of our home improvement products, but I am really excited about what the manufacturers have done to upgrade the beauty, and the energy efficiency of patio doors.”

Ohio Window and Doors serves Cleveland, Ohio as well as the communities of Akron, Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo, Tallmadge, Mogadore, Wadsworth, Canton, Cuyahoga Falls, Brecksville, Medina and Fairlawn.
