Berlin, Germany (PRWEB) June 15, 2011
For entrepreneurs these days getting attention for their new mobile app or start-up is proving increasingly hard. Over 300,000 in the iPhone AppStore alone makes for a lot of competition for people’s attention.
MLOVE, billed as “conference meets festival” is offering 5 lucky mobile start-ups not only the chance to present in front of 200 mobile sector veterans, industry leaders and world innovators, but also to attend MLOVE for free – in itself a unique experience.
Each start-up will get 5 minutes to pitch on the main stage to impress the judges and audience, with a short Q&A afterwards. The panel will be chaired by Andrew Scott, a veteran of mobile start-ups alongside Jean Schmitt of Sofinnova Partners and Daniel Graf, Director of Google Apps Lab.
The winner will receive an award including two tickets to MLOVE 2012 (worth 5,000 Euros) and some other -yet to be announced- prizes. Far more importantly, it’s a showcase to those who matter in the mobile ecosystem.
The competition is open to mobile start-ups who have raised less than 1m Euro ($1.5m) investment, have been founded (or their product or service must have been new) after January 1, 2009.
Other attendees and speakers will include Thorsten Dirks, CEO of E-PLUS, Russell Buckley, Kei Shimada, CEO Infinita, Peter Vesterbacka CMO Angry Birds, Thomas Goetz Executive Editor, WIRED USA, Yuri van Geest and many more.
Each year at MLOVE new friendships are forged, subsequently business deals made and funding found. The MLOVE team work hard to enable open discussion, bonding and consequently innovation of concepts and ideas. MLOVE aims to send every attendee away inspired and re-energised – most likely with the new support of the champions of business you’ll have met at the event.

"The Open Space and Future Cube experience, where speakers and attendee’s collaborated together to look at for example, Justice, Wealth Distribution, Emerging Markets, Media, was part of the special part of this journey of discovery for us all. So we were actively working together to look at problems and trying to discover/design solutions,"
Alan Moore, author and founder of SMLXL.
"When the team set out on their journey to create the MLOVE concept, there was one key driving factor: Putting the people back into the center of everything. I never quite experienced it as intense, as enriching as during the MLOVE days. Both, for work and for my personal life. MLOVE has been truly interdisciplinary, crazy, funny, encouraging, motivating, eye-opening and passionate for me,"
Ralf Rottmann, Founding Partner & Managing Director (CTO) GrandCentrix GmbH.
"The MLOVE Confestival has been a truly unique event in the mobile industry. It showed that a great atmosphere, amazing speakers and active participation results in great networking opportunities and valuable exchange of knowledge. The international cast of speakers was outstanding!"

"We are really proud, that we had the chance to support the brilliant MLOVE ConFestival. It feels great to be part of the MLOVE community. The three days at the Beesenstedt “castle” were quite inspiring and brought fascinating ideas and discussions as well as sustainable new encounters. The MLOVE ConFestival has been named a 'TED for Mobile' and a meetup of the 'IT avantgarde' with an engaging and inspiring format in the setting of a 19th century castle in the former Eastern Germany. The MLOVE ConFestival, hosted south of Berlin from June 29 to July 2, 2011 will focus on innovative mobile opportunities for brands, entertainment and advertising and the impact of mobile as a social catalyst for positive change.
The MLOVE tribe started grass roots by an international group of “mobile passionistas” in 2008. Through MLOVE “camps” in Andorra, Barcelona, San Francisco, Munich, London, New York and Singapore the agenda for MLOVE evolved into more than mobile.
