Scaletron Industries, Ltd., a manufacturer of corrosion resistant digital and mechanical scales, has announced the addition of a new Model 2003™ - 2006™ Ultra-Low Profile Multi-Cylinder Platform Scale, which is designed to weigh up to 12 gas cylinders simultaneously, to their line of quality scales. The 2003™ - 2006™ is available with various platform size widths to meet the needs of the fire protection and liquefied gas industries and also can be customized to fit specific applications.

"The Model 2003™ - 2006™ Multi-Cylinder Platform Scale was created for our customers who currently weigh multiple gas cylinders on separate scales,” says Edward Dougherty, president of Scaletron Industries, LTD. "This scale design provides a more economical and efficient method of weighing three to twelve gas cylinders on one low profile platform at the same time, with a maximum load capacity of 2500 pounds, depending on the platform size.” Model 2003™ - 2006™ Scale provides a means for measuring the weight of liquefied gas under pressure in order to determine a cylinder's content level.”

The 2003™ - 2006™ Multi-Cylinder Platform Scale offers excellent accuracy of ± 0.1% of capacity and allows users to monitor chemicals in either pounds or kilograms. To provide protection from corrosive chemicals, the electronics are housed in a NEMA 4X, UL approved enclosure.

Additionally, the 2003™ - 2006™ Scale can accommodate off center loads and features rugged steel construction protected by a corrosion resistant finish, solid ½ inch PVC decking for use in harsh environments, and an ultra-low profile platform designed to increase safety and ease of cylinder handling. It is designed for quick, frequent on and off loading of gas cylinders.

Options for the 2003™ - 2006™ Scale include modifiable set-up preferences such as additional wire cable, remote mounting of the indicator box up to 200 feet from the scale, and various upgrades of controller types.

The Model 2003™ - 2006™ Multi-Cylinder Platform Scale is designed to accurately measure weight of liquefied gases such as chlorine, sulfur dioxide, ammonia, hydrogen chloride and carbon dioxide packaged in cylinders up to 12" in diameter. Scaletron offers a full, 5 year warranty on the Model 2003™ - 2006™ and all other products.

The Model 2003™ - 2006™ Scale recently became available in May 2011, and is accessible for quote on Scaletron’s website. The site also features literature, drawings, OEM manuals, and bid specifications. For more information, please visit http://www.scaletronscales.com/2003-2006.html.
