Agency Wins for Investor Relations Program for Aegerion Pharmaceuticals

LaVoie Group, the acknowledged leader in life science and pharmaceutical communications, announced today that it has won two awards for the agency’s investor relations program on behalf of client, Aegerion Pharmaceuticals. The awards include the 2010 Impact Award for “Best Investor Relations Program” from the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) and The Silver Bell for “Investor Relations Campaign” from the Publicity Club of New England in the 2011 Bell Ringer Awards competition.

LaVoie Group was engaged by Aegerion Pharmaceuticals as its IR Agency of Record in October 2010 to provide strategic counsel, messaging and tactical support. LaVoie Group also worked closely with Aegerion to develop the investor presentation, corporate and investor relations website, as well as other investor and corporate communications materials.

“This year’s entry, the Aegerion Pharmaceuticals program proves to be remarkable in light of tremendous competition,” commented Christine Kennedy, managing director for LACP. “Nearly 100 entries were received for the 2010 Impact Awards, comprising the best communications from eight countries.”

Donna L. LaVoie, President and Chief Executive Officer of LaVoie Group, said, “These awards recognize LaVoie Group’s ability to provide senior level counsel and tactical implementation of investor relations and corporate communications programs designed to properly position, and ultimately create value for our clients. Our integrated approach to communications allows us to formulate and execute a comprehensive plan and is what sets us apart. We’re proud to partner with a company like Aegerion, who is in an exciting phase of growth, and to help them navigate through their communications as a newly-public company.”

The Bell Ringer Awards were created in 1969 by the Publicity Club to recognize excellence in communications and public relations work in every industry, and across all media—print, broadcast, and online. To see the 2011 Bell Ringer Awards Winners List, please visit,
