"We’re a hard working city and people are looking to have fun and let loose. We work hard and we play hard.” Chris Dobson, owner of The Roadhouse, Dobson's & Desperados
Calgary, AB (PRWEB) June 15, 2011
After 9 successful years at the Roadhouse and the recent expansion to Dobson’s Restaurant & Bar on McLeod Trail, owner and Calgary entrepreneur Chris Dobson is expanding his franchise with yet another big project. Dobson took over the roughly 10,000 square foot building tucked off MacLeod Trail and 74th street. This building was formerly known as Stockyards Saloon, Snatch rock n roll bar, Outlaws and the Rocking Horse. Now newly renovated with a the state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, this beautifully designed, upscale western venue will be the place sophisticated socialites to come dance, be entertained and have fun in an exciting fresh atmosphere.
Dobson believes “This is exactly what Calgary has been missing. For us, customer service and safety are number one priority. Calgarians are looking for a high-end club - they want a place where they can get dressed up or down, be 20, 30 or 40 and feel welcome. At Desparados, they will get great service every time in a fun & sexy atmosphere, and great music. We’re a hard working city and people just need to let loose.”
This very posh western room plays homage to our city’s roots while the 20 plus dangling crystal chandeliers and rhinestone saddle hanging from the middle of the massive dance floor brings a modern feel.
Desperado’s will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 8pm – 2am, will employ over one hundred people, and play host to over 1,000 guests including their massive tent during stampede. Desperado’s grand opening weekend commences Thursday June 23 and promises to be full of excitement.
