The Meadows Health Care Center, a privately owned facility in Forest Park, receives another award, this time to their Administrator, Gretchen Aichele, for outstanding Leadership. Gretchen has been with the Meadows for two and a half years. Under her supervision, The Meadows http://www.meadowshc.com has been awarded one Excellence Award and two Superior awards from the Ohio Academy of Nursing for Excellence in Health Care, as well as the Business of the Month for the City of Forest Park in April, 2010. This new award for Facility Leadership just emphasizes the excellent job that Aichele does as Administrator of this outstanding health care center.

Aichele was one of 355 recipients who received the Facility Leadership Award. This annual award recognizes administrators of nursing homes who have met superior health care standards. The selection of the award winners was based on reported skilled nursing facility resident data from the MDS that reflects the care and services provided. In addition to meeting stringent patient care and life safety code standards, recipient organizations must have an average occupancy above 90 percent, and the same administrator must have filled the role throughout the year.
Gretchen’s background includes a Bachelors Degree in Aging Services and Administration from the College of Mount St. Joseph, a Bachelors Degree in English from John Carroll University, and her Administrative License since 2008. She has worked in Long Term Care since 2003. As Administrator, she works closely with the nursing staff, physical therapists, doctors and all of the health care professionals who come in to care for her residents. Aichele believes that by offering the finest in health care, her patients thrive and the families of her patients feel comfortable leaving their loved ones in the center. She is a huge advocate for the patients’ rights in every situation.
Founded in 1962, the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) is the only professional association devoted solely to meeting the professional needs of today’s long-term care administrators and executives. Their mission focuses o advancing leadership excellence in long-term care through the provision of leadership education, promotion of professional advancement programs and facilitation of leadership development.
The Meadows Health Care Center is one of three facilities in the Cincinnati area owned by Karen Jamison-Brothers. It is located at 11760 Pellston Court, Forest Park.
