We could have never brought on student email or student Active Directory accounts without Tools4ever. They helped enable us to effectively manage large numbers of individual user accounts with minimal staff resources by leveraging UMRA.
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 16, 2011
Tools4ever, the market leader in Identity and Access Management solutions, is pleased to announce that Harrison College implemented Tools4ever’s User Management Resource Administrator (UMRA) and Self Service Resent Password Management (SSRPM) solution. For Harrison College, an organization with over 6,000 student accounts, 900 staff accounts and an alumni of over 75,000, the establishment of robust identity and access management solutions was paramount in their continued evolution of efficient and secure user account management.
Harrison College has utilized Tools4ever’s User Management Resource Administrator (UMRA) for its network provisioning and user account management with Google Apps. When Harrison decided to use Google Apps as its preferred cloud based application they knew they needed a robust user management solution that could simultaneously manage a large amount of student user accounts and provision them to Google Apps. With connections to over 130 different (cloud) applications and systems, UMRA is scalable to meet the additional needs for Harrison College.
Jason Stele, Assistant Director of Information Services, Harrison College had this to say about Tools4ever and UMRA; “We could have never brought on student email or student Active Directory accounts without Tools4ever. They helped enable us to effectively manage large numbers of individual user accounts with minimal staff resources by leveraging UMRA.”
Additionally, Harrison has implemented Tools4ever’s Self Service Reset Password Management (SSRPM) which has enabled students to reset their own passwords 24/7. Because Harrison offers courses in the morning, afternoon and evening; as well as online courses, it was important that they offer a solution to their users that could be accessed outside of normal business hours. This has not only allowed password resets to happen after hours, but has also greatly reduced calls coming in during the normal work day.
