With over 4,000 members since its launch in November, 2010, Friendburst.com offers an alternative social network with the latest technologies, design features and personalization users crave.

It allows bands, artists and writers to establish a community for creative expression where other sites are now lacking. See website – http://www.friendburst.com.

When Myspace drastically changed its format last November to a social entertainment website for the Gen Y demographic, it sent tens of thousands of its users into a collective frenzy and prompted a mass exit of many of its dedicated guests, particularly top bloggers and creative types.

Blogtalk Radio personality Joko hosted an interview with Friendburst Founder, Kevin Heath and featured Myspace Online Vice President Sean Percival, who commented on its format changes. Play audio file.

Friendburst.com took the lead to carve its own niche to creative people, including bands, musicians, artists, authors, poets and writers to extend their online presences. While other social networks have removed simple design capabilities, Friendburst is committed to becoming a central hub for bands, writers and creative people to express their talents using custom CSS and html features, and to post audio and video content, view introductory video.

To demonstrate its commitment to the creative community, Friendburst announced the hiring of Angelica Wandering Angel (also known as AWA) as its promotions director. AWA is a poet, lyricist and vocals artist who is a liaison for bands, musicians, writers and poets at Friendburst. She also helps coordinate website contests and special events.

“Having a voice platform for creative expression is especially important to our members. We are focused on listening to its members’ ideas and bringing back the concept of an individualized online experience with personal customer service,” said AWA.

Bands and musicians of different genres joined Friendburst.com. Known metal band Anvil is a featured band, along with rhythm and blue’s Kroshet, UK’s Girlschool, and Italian pop/rocker Luca Cecchelli.

Over the past decade, we have witnessed a rivalry to create the most powerful social website where people can gather to make connections with friends, family and colleagues, and to communicate virtually with others throughout the world. Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and Myspace now control the Internet as leading social networks according to website traffic.

However, people are socializing on different sites for different reasons today. They are joining multiple networks, groups and forums, and they are creating their own virtual online communities. Friendburst.com now takes its space alongside the popular social media networking sites and gives artists, authors, bloggers and bands a new place to call home for creative expression.
