This summer, anyone can text the word "Hampton" to 41242 or go directly to: Signup for a free gift bag and pick it up at a store in the Hamptons. When you think of the Hamptons --Beach, Sun, BBQ, Celebrities and Madison & Mulholland Gift Bags are all the "it" list. Now in its 10th year of gift bags, M|M gives a gift to companies who place their goodies into their gift bags and alleviates a well-known obstacle. Up until now, companies who sponsor or provide products for gift bags simply had no way of contacting gift bag recipients, which meant they could not follow up, get feed back or market to them again. SOLUTION: July 4th marks the launch of Madison & Mulholland's new program: "Hampton Gift Bags By Reservation Only" with the database being the gift to Platinum level sponsors. In addition, select retailers have been chosen as "destinations" where Hamptonites will be able to pick up their reserved gift bag. Locations include: East Hampton, Southampton, Bridgehampton, Sagharbor and other towns.

"Hampton Gift Bag By Reservations Only" is a new concept that solves the main obstacle sponsors and companies face after someone is handed a gift bag; the inability to connect with the consumer after he or she has received their products.

In response to this issue, as a key player in the gift bag industry celebrating 10 years of gifting world-wide, Madison & Mulholland and media partner, Dan’s Papers, offer a viable solution: Consumers who crave the latest products and services must make a reservation and provide their contact information. The Internet calls this ‘permission’ marketing. Now M|M and Dan’s Papers will be using texting and online forms to build valuable databases of gift bag recipients for our clients.

Transparency Rules. Those who request a M|M Dan’s Papers gift bag agree upfront that the valuable data (name, email, cell, etc.) will be made available to participating Platinum sponsors. Companies wanting to expand their reach and engage with customers directly, agree that there’s value to these interactions. Developing an audience and opportunity to converse (texting and email) with a fan-base comprised of this high-end demographic is important during these economic times.

The gift bag will be available for pick up or to be shipped (for a fee) beginning July 4th weekend at various Hampton locations including: Westhampton, Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton, Southampton, Easthampton and other locations.

The retail value of the July 4th bag is over $200. The bags are filled with ‘gifts’ representing local and national companies.

Additional offer for consumers: In addition to the reservation only gift bag, there is an upgrade option.
