California Congressional candidate and small businessman Craig Huey (R-36) this morning called on opponent Janice Hahn to immediately desist from her attempts to profit from the vile internet video attacking her gang policies. He also challenged Hahn to five debates so voters can hear both candidates on the real issues.
According to USA Today (6-15-2011) the Hahn congressional campaign is using the video to raise funds for her election effort,
“The only one keeping this vile video alive is Janice Hahn. She is the one circulating it and she is even using it to raise money. It is disgusting that she would stoop so low. The only plausible explanation is that she is frantic about her prospects of winning,” said Huey consultant Dave Gilliard.
“We have no connection with this video and Janice Hahn knows that. It’s racist and sexist and the ones who made it should be ashamed. But this election is about critical issues impacting the district. Everywhere I go voters say they want to hear about the real issues impacting their daily lives: jobs, the economy, taxes, spending, crime, just to name a few," said Huey.
“Voters in our district want to hear from us directly and make up their own minds,” said Huey. “That’s why I am challenging Janice Hahn to 5 debates, to be held throughout the 36th district, between now and July 12, moderated by the news reporters from the local papers covering the race.”
