Taking in-kind donations seriously can provide an amazing array of goods and services to nonprofits. They just need to know where to look.

Ventureneer's new webinar. Free, Cheap, Edible: How Nonprofits Can Leverage In-Kind Donations shows nonprofit executives how to assess their overall needs, determine what in-kind resources might meet those needs, and make the ask. Done right, in-kind donations may mean never having to pay for software, furniture or computers again.
"Taking in-kind donations seriously can provide an amazing array of goods and services to nonprofits. They just need to know where to look," said Geri Stengel, founder of Ventureneer.
The aim of this webinar is to show nonprofit executives that money isn't everything. It is possible to upgrade software, furnish a shelter or feed the hungry by asking the right people for the right things. The products and services are there, just waiting for the ask.
The free online seminar will cover:
*the variety of in-kind donations, from food to furniture
*assessing what your nonprofit needs
*resources for finding in-kind donations
*the laws about in-kind donations
*what is needed to create a credible in-kind program
*resources to help establish fair market value of donations
As always, time will be allowed to answer for questions from the class.
The free webinar, held Thursday, June 23, 2011, 12n-1pm ET, will be taught by Pat Bohse, president of Bohse & Associates, a New Jersey management consulting firm. Bohse has provided nonprofits with strategic planning, board development, and coaching since 1989.
Nonprofit executives, board members, and development managers will find the possibilities of in-kind donations surprising and enticing.
